Star Wars: The Clone Wars Returns!

The much loved Star Wars series made its seventh season return to Disney+ on Friday, in the form of the episode titled "The Bad Batch". Disney seems to favor releasing the episodes of their series' one episode per week, and I don't inherently have a problem with that. The Mandalorian was on the same weekly schedule and that created a tension within that time between episodes that simply being able to binge the whole season wouldn't have created. So having watched Clone Wars as a kid and teen, the return of the show is much welcomed, and I think it's safe to say that they've done a great job so far with this first episode.

From the trailer we received a few weeks back, it's safe to say that this season is going to dip into the Revenge of the Sith timeline, with many shots from the trailer having their ROTS movie counterparts. So it should be interesting to see how far deep the show goes. Are we going to see Vader at any point? That's honestly the main question on my mind. Hopefully we see a more in depth look as to what happened during Order 66 and the fall of the Republic from different perspectives. Perhaps a longer scene where Anakin goes into the Jedi Temple and destroys all of the Jedi inside. Although I do think a more interesting way to go would be to look at Ahsoka during these times. Can she feel Anakin fall to the dark side? How does she deal with that?

Overall with only one episode down, I think it's safe to say this show is going to end strong. (Hopefully so!) If you haven't seen "The Bad Batch" yet, jump onto your Disney+ account, and take the 30 or so minutes out of your day to watch this badass episode. If you're a Star Wars fan, you're going to love it, and like me, I can't wait for the rest.
